"Rule of Law Challenges in the EU: Implications for EU Economic Law"

The Centre for European Studies joined the international conference on "Rule of Law Challenges in the EU: Implications for EU Economic Law" as partner organization within the research stream of "Jean Monnet Module on EU Business Law" (EUBLAW). The main focus of the conference is placed on the relevance and application of rule of law in the EU competition law and other areas of EU economic law. The speakers of this prestigious event include among others Eleanor Fox (New York University School of Law), Paul Nihoul (Judge, General Court of the European Union) and Christopher Vajda (Judge, Court of Justice of the European Union). "EU Business Law Module" Certificates have been awarded

After completing the two-semester "EU Business Law Module" within the academic year 2017/2018, seven students have been awarded certificates on 29 June and 6 July 2018. The certificates were handed over by László Milassin, Head of Centre for European Studies.

Second Danube Region Strategy Conference in Győr

The Antall József Knowledge Centre and the Hanns-Seidel-Stiftung, in cooperation with Széchenyi István University, organized a conference titled „Second Danube Region Strategy Conference - Focusing on Tourism and Landscape & Security Cooperation” on 14 April 2018. The aim of the event was to evaluate the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR) and discuss future possibilities in the wider Central European region. It focused on the tourism, landscape and security cooperation perspectives of the EUSDR. László Milassin, Head of Centre for European Studies, examined the Strategy’s effects and emphasized its future role in his closing remarks. The conference programme is available here.
